OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Keller Wrestling Club

MISSION STATEMENT

Keller Wrestling Club is designed for children, parents, and volunteers to come together around a common theme - their love for wrestling. This wrestling program is designed to develop athletes in Keller ISD grades K-12. We strive to be a magnet for individuals that believe that the sport of wrestling builds character, discipline, and the goal-setting skills that will ultimately provide the structure for success on the mat and in life.

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to develop champions on the mat and in life, through a structured program based upon values, commitment, healthy habits, and technical skills development. We will emphasize the fundamentals of wrestling to include basic skills, drills, and techniques in a fun and positive manner. Our athletes will gain great knowledge in the sport of wrestling and have the opportunity to travel for competition across our state and national level.

KWC is non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Please inquire on how to support the growth and development of wrestling within Keller ISD.

  • Practicing out of the high school wrestling rooms in Keller ISD, Keller Wrestling Club offers practices for all levels of wrestlers in the disciplines of Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco.

  • Our beginner program is designed to introduce basic wrestling skills while also developing strength, balance, and flexibility.

Athletes aged 4 to 8 and with zero to two years of experience compete against each other within our local league. Athletes are separated by gender, age, and weight to provide a platform that is as equal as possible for all competitors.

  • Athletes 9 years or older will be in our advanced program. They will participate in practices that are more intense than beginner practices to prepare our athletes for stiffer competition. An iron sharpens iron mentality is developed through consistency and fundamentals. We want to develop all Keller athletes to promote growth and technical mastery.
